I upgraded to the latest nightly. It's now playing 720. Still not 1080, but it's miles better than a 1080 video playing at 640. And without changing a single setting after having it play 720 for a while, it suddenly has dropped to 640 again after pausing a video. Tried a restart and a different vide...

First thing I did. It's not working.

I can try reverting back to the non-nightly VLC, if that might help.

Every time I take a VLC snap, it comes out pinker (very noticeable in skin tones and lips get very red) and quite a bit darker. This has rendered the feature nearly unusable for quite some time now.
