Re: VLC Player 2.1 stream undesired looping

Hi, Same problem here. I did mange to stop the loop happening in Windows XP and 7 both x86 an x64. Change the player audio driver from DirectSound to WavOut. It now goes quiet on stream loss. However, I would like VLC to stop if the stream dies. I can then make a nice little batch script to start it...

Re: scripting question

If you go through the GUI as if you were going to Stream to File, select your transcode settings etc, then the final page should show the generated output string. Something like: :sout=#transcode{vcodec=none,acodec=mp3,ab=320,channels=2,samplerate=44100}:file{dst=d:/desktop/afile.ts,no-overwrite} :s...

Re: Problems streamingh behind a home router

Dude, there is a thread on here that kinda answers the problem you maybe having. I'm using the push stream method. I enable port forwarding at each end for the port and protocol I want to use. Then just enter the destination IP and the chosen port in the stream destination settings. I use RTP as it ...

Re: schedule radio recording

Time = %time% Open a CMD window and type: echo %time% The output will be: 11:54:03.43 Change time to %time:~0,5% 11:54 So then just add in this and it should be happy, eg: "C:\program files (x86)\videolan\vlc\vlc.exe" <radio stream url:port> :sout=#file{dst="<drive:>\<folder>\<file na...

DirectX audio output, endless buffer repeat

Hi all, My apologies if this topic should be in the streaming section. Seeing as it is not about creating a stream, just receiving, I thought it better to be under a Windows issue. Right, the problem is that when a received stream is stopped (the internet dies at either end, or the streamer stops st...

Re: Push Stream to a Public IP.

Firstly, I have managed to successfully stream to 127.0.0.1 and my own Public IP (with router port forwarding) successfully multiple times without fail. I have no idea what was causing the issue, because I didn't pull open the message window - a dumb move. Some issues I was having, and mostly my fri...

Re: Hardware compability list - We need your help!

Soundcard: M-Audio Delta AP 2496 (driver 6.0.5) input works without issue. Windows 7 64 Pro, VLC 2.1.5 VB-Cable (virtual cable software device) doesn't seem to work. I think it's because it has 8 channels permanently engaged. (Forgive me if this 'device' is classed as disallowed. Please edit the pos...

Push Stream to a Public IP.

Hi all, I've just joined because I am having a few issues. My friend wants to stream 2 channel audio from his (Linux) laptop in one location to another (Mac) computer in a different location. Both systems have private IP addresses behind their own respective routers. The two router have different pu...

Re: schedule radio recording

Hi, I'm new to this forum, so please excuse any faux pas. I have a scheduled .bat script to record a Live radio stream, and also another to record an archived stream. if not "%minimized%"=="" goto :minimized set minimized=true start /min cmd /C "%~dpnx0" goto :EOF :mini...
