I'm wondering if it's possible to have VLC display the current movie time when the stop / pause is made. I don't need to have the time on my screen for the full time, but when I pause the movie in full screen, it would be good to know what position it is directly, rather than looking at the control ...

Indeed, this feature is something that many of us seek.

I happen to have the same situation and would welcome an option to set a max window resolution for files exceeding my display native resolution (especially when run at my laptop).
