Well, that didn't work.. but thanks anyway!You need more recent ffmpeg with your VLC. You might find a newer version on http://nightlies.videolan.org ... i can't guarantee anything though.

Playing h264 in Ubuntu
Here's my problem: I have almost all of my dvds encoded in h.264 format for my iPod (320x240, bitrate of 576, codec x264b13) using Handbrake for Windows. And they play fine on my iPod, in Quicktime, and in VLC for Windows. But when I try to play them in VLC in Ubuntu (Dapper), it looks fine for almo...
