I have both the vanilla and beta versions installed. Problem is, the shortcuts on the desktop are identical in appearance, so I never know which one I am starting up (or updating). Could we please have a distinct icon for beta build?

How do I register for the beta? - I already have the beta release of the Android app from the play store. Is there more to do?

I can't seem to do this on the Android version of VLC - browse to a network location and play a video file. I can do it on the iPad version. Is this feature missing, or just well hidden?
