Re: add latest news section on website

I see the news on http://www.videolan.org but not on http://www.videolan.org/vlc which is where google took me. Why is there 2 url for nearly the same page? Whatever, ridiculous. Still no mention of subtitles hack.

vlc 2.2.4 won't update from "check for update" in menubar.

VLC says 2.2.4 is the latest version. That's obviously not true. So this whole time I was vulnerable to the subtitle hack, which by the way NO MENTION of it anywhere on the site, if it's been fixed or whatever. Amateur hour.

Can somebody please add a "news" section. I.e. Today version whatever was released w/ release notes i.e. the subtitles hack was fixed in this release or something like that. Please, thanks.

A few suggestions

Hi 1) is there any way to have the media library remember what folders were open and exactly the position it was scrolled to before I exited the app? Every time I start up VLC, I have to go to media library, scroll down to the folder, open all the subfolders then find the darned file that I last was...

Re: Single Window mode?

While it's playing, I click on window > messages > (refresh button). I see a while bunch of "vda debug: frame buffer is empty" lines. If that helps at all. The osx console just says: VLC: Can't find app with identifier com.spotify.client.

Re: Single Window mode?

Thanks, finally. But I just discovered another problem. VLC is laggy in playing videos. Also sometimes it just doesn't work. I'm trying to play this file and all I get is a green screen. The audio works fine. MplayerX (an old version from 4 years ago) can play the video and audio just fine. Here's t...

Single Window mode?

Congratulations on vlc 2.2.1. VLC is very close to becoming my primary video player. Just one thing that is an issue for me. I don't use playlists. Never have. I don't want to see a playlist window ever. I want to double click on a movie and have it play immediately without any other windows popping...

Re: 2.1.4 issues, osx 10.9.2

Thanks for the reply. 1) All you have to do it go to the preferences. That scrolling effect that happens (or whatever its called) when you select a different tab so that the preferences window will change size according to the contents of the tab... on my machine a few times of this and it will eith...

2.1.4 issues, osx 10.9.2

1. The player is buggy -- when going into the preferences and selecting the various categories, sometimes the scrolling effect will screw up the preferences window. In fact, it WILL screw it up after a few times. 2. No option to automatically save and reopen the playlist as it was when I exited VLC....
