This is done by the OSD, you can disable it in the Preferences -> Subtitles/OSD tab.
You need to save and to restart VLC after the change.
Okay ty, but won't that mean that I won't see the volume % text when I change volume? I still want that text, just not the bar.

Which VLC setting removes this vertical volume bar that appears when playing video fullscreen? (See pic)

This orange bar in the screenshot below never used to appear. The text saying Volume 91% is normal, but not the bar, it's unecessary, what setting will remove it please? https://i.postimg.cc/T3yB08Rq/vlc-volume-orange-bar-screenshot.png VLC version I'm using is 3.0.17 Vetinari if that helps (Win10)

In the last few days I have noticed VLC glitching a few times a day. The image freezes, and around 10 seconds of audio repeats on a loop, and the window becomes unresponsive.
