Got the same problem with mp3 files.

I can add folders, but I can't open or play them. Just installed 2.1.4 and got the same problem as in 2.1.5.
I completly uninstalled VLC and then reinstalled it.

Okay, found it...
I accidentally deactivated the popups in the Windows settings -.-

(Textes there are in German)

Reinstalled VLC, reseted all settings, deleted the cache. Nothing helped :/
Other programs running at the same time are Skype, Steam and Speedfan. But I don't think that one of those programs could block the popups. Is there a Windows setting I maybe accidentally acitvated?

It is like that since some time, maybe reinstalling could solve the problem but I rather just ask here.
So is this just a bug? Or did I do something wrong?

Hey, so my question is, if it is possible that when you play a song which has an album art in it, that VLC gets a similar colour like the art.
