For instance, say there's a 5.1 audio track. By pressing shift+A I could cycle through mono, stereo, 5.1, and a couple others. That doesn't work now in VLC 2.1.3.

In the old version of VLC, I could use Shift-A to cycle through Mono->Stereo->Surround. Personally I like to mix down to mono. But I can't figure out how to do that now.
