I was wondering if anyone could explain how the VLC app organizes video files into folders. I've been adding files and only a couple files go into folders but most do not. I thought it organized it by names but when I changed the names of some files similar to the ones that would go into folders it ...

In the Media Information window I see track number but I'm not working with audio files, I'm working with video files, so mp4, mkv, and other video file types. I need to add showName, episodeNumber, and seasonNumber so that the files organize correctly in the VLC app.

How can I add/edit metadata in 2.0.2? I'm trying to upload tv shows to my iPad using the VLC app and only Sherlock has been going into its own folder. The only difference I see is they have metadata when I open them in VLC on my desktop. In the metadata tab I see: seasonNumber: 03 episodeNumber: 01 ...
