Thanks Hitchhiker for the link -- I tried every single step and nothing worked -- still no audio. I decided to use the unedited version on my website, it has audio. I guess I'm going to have to look elsewhere for editing/cropping... I appreciate your help.

Well, I screwed THAT up royally! Now VLC doesn't work at all. I'm going to do a system restore and then provide you with screenshots to see what I did wrong. I really need to get it working by the weekend...

I just upgraded to 2.1.3 -- I tried using advanced control to cut a video -- several times! It worked, but when I played it back, I only got the audio, no video. This didn't happen with previous versions. Is it a bug, or am I doing something wrong?
