Is it possible to make VLSub automatically download a subtitle when a video is played (at least for the first time) AKA without going manually into VLSub and searching for subtitles?

Where did the .mkv file come from? The reason I'm asking is because I don't have a video with that file type on my system and therefore can't test it to see if the same thing happens. Pausing an .mp4 file and then continuing after a couple of minutes works normally. Thing is, it's not just that one...

Been having same issue with VLC playing DVD images

Pauses, skips stutters, VLC is dreadful

still haven't found a solution yet, just put it down to VLC being buggy

I actually don't have stutters and pauses, I pause manually, and have no more video (just few frames and it stops) after resuming.

The latter. So far it seems that disabling acceleration works without issues. I'll try DXVA and D3D11 again, but this puzzles me, as I said, nothing hw/sw has changed here for a good few years except VLC updates and driver changes. Possibly due to a corrupted file somewhere. To fix open vlc and hit Ctrl + P to open prefs and then click the big Reset Preferences at the bottom. Exit and restart vlc.

Ironically, I literary installed a copy of fresh Windows 7 yesterday on another disk, and the issue still persists.

Hello, I'd like to enforce constant buffering/caching once I start a video file over the network, I have put 10 sec to cache before playing. When does it popup?

When the song changes.

It doesn't stay minimized, it probably recognizes the visualization itself as a video "file", so when the next song starts, it pops up, just like it does with video files (movies/series).

Anyone, please?

It can't be that hard to keep VLC minimized when using video/visualizations when the song changes...

A simple request/explanation how to prevent minimized VLC window popping up from taskbar/tray when audio visualizations are turned on.
