Hi Jonathan: you mean the account in term of log in on the apple as user? (Because I do not have a specific account logged in on VLC, or do I?)

Was this issue ever solved? I have VKC 2.1.2. (64bit) on both an Imac & Mac Air. Both using Mavericks. VLC worked like a charm always. Very happy with it. Thx! And still does great as long as I don't hook a beamer onto the MacAir when I show videos It then gives the same error message as mention...
