I'm sorry I wasn't clear. What I want is to be able to take snapshots of a subtitled video, without having to turn the subs off, and still have the snapshots *not* show the subs. I know other software can do this, so I wanted to know if it was possible in VLC.

If I'm watching a DVD that has subtitles turned on, is there a way to take a snapshot that will NOT show those subtitles? I tried searching the forum, but the closest thing I found were a few posts of people with the opposite problem; they wanted the subtitles to show! So, surely there's a way to ta...
