Ahh right, Im just full screening a 1080p video on my 1600p display.
Looks spot on tbh but just nice to know there is no pixel doubling nonsense going on, seems like extra strain on the GPU for no good reason.

Ahh right ok, I prefer to have it render pixel for pixel and then I resize rather than the daft OSX pixel doubling.
Ill give it a go cheers.

Not sure if I am doing some thing wrong here? So playing a 1080p video on my 13" rMBP and at normal size it fills just over half the screen as it should, if I go to resize things to fill up more of the screen the app will resize but the video will stay the same size, also if I full screen I jus...

The screen is 1600p, its a Macbook with retina display so using the scaling options I have selected the 1680 x 1050 option. The player should be able to recognise this and use pixel for pixel mapping with in the output window but its not? Fianl cut for example does this and can output 1080p on scree...

Ok my impression with video playback on retina displays was that any content inside the player would output at its native res rather than the scaled res of the desktop? However when I fire up a 1080p blu ray rip VLC full screens? Im running the scaled 1680 x 1050 res so if that were a standard scree...
