Wholeheartedly agree here. This is just plain annoying. I have absolutely no desire for a user folder full of a ton of Youtube thumbnails in directories. Sure, you can set up system cleaning software (such as CCleaner) to purge unwanted cache stuff like that, but why on earth would Youtube thumbnail...

There is not going to be a permanent solution. NPAPI is deprecated and will be phased out of Chrome by December. For the time being you can try to manually reactivate it via the Flags interface (try chrome://flags/#enable-npapi ), but in the long run the only solution will be to use respectively old...

Same here. It's been doing that since V2.2.0, on DVD playback and also playing IPTV and DVB-T (which thankfully plays well again otherwise) television. For example, a regular SD widescreen 16:9 source used to result in snapshot dimensions of 1024x576, and 4:3 source in 768x576, now it's always 704x5...

Ditto on the DVD not playing issue. I accidently posted my issue in the Mac forum, maybe a mod can move it here?

Edit: Apologies for posting Win stuff in the Mac/iOS corner. I just searched for DVD issues and found this thread. Nevertheless, seems to be a problem with the latest release version. Having issues with playing DVDs as well, on Win7 Pro 64bit with SP1. Definitely seems to be an issue with VLC V2.1.2...
