Same issue on MacOS 10.15.4

Audio drops after resuming from pause, and have to force quit VLC and restart.

I too have been having drop outs of audio, but not only in 2.1.1, but 2.1.0 and 2.0.8 as well. I've had an iMac for 2 months, and for the first 4 weeks audio was fine in all versions of VLC.
