V2.1.1 seems to have some bugs, not just your problem. Try going back one version to 2.1.0 Look here http://download.videolan.org/vlc/

Yeah, I used both the 32-bit/64-bit versions and just tried, 2.2.0 (nightly)...that's got worse issues. I'll just revert to pre-2 version until the next official release. Thanks though!

The 2.1.0 build is not giving me any problems, so try that. I'm running Win 7 64 bit.

I just downloaded and installed 2.1.1 and the problem remains. The first 3 or 4 seconds of a Flac file judder on the first track of every file I've tried. It also happens at the beginning of some (but not all) later tracks. I'll go back to 2.1.0 for now. Just wished to let you know.
