Thanks. I tried that package, but it uses SEH exceptions and appears to be incompatible with the binary contrib packages, which use SJLJ exceptions. I'm not sure if the SEH thing is new, but it may be a version incompatbility. I actually backtracked and tried compiling the contrib packages on my own...
