Does nobody use ogg theora?

Do the seek hotkeys work for anyone else on ogg theora files?

It does this in VLC on Windows (tried latest 1.1.0) and the vlc in the Ubuntu repositories. I first noticed this a year or so ago and kept thinking this was a bug that would get fixed as ogg theora video encoding is becoming more popular. I grabbed a nightly build vlc-0.8.6-svn-20060822-2205-win32.exe and it works.

I had an old Quickcam Exress that streamed to file no problems. I upgraded to a Quickcam 5000, but I can not get it to stream to a file. VLC either creates a blank file or crashes. What should I do? By the way, this is on Windows XP, and it will play the local video fine, but will not save to a file.
