the latest version on windows 8.1 is not streaming wmv streams via the network Protocol entry

im going to have to downgrade to 2.1.5

is this a fault and may be fixed or is is discontinued?

i have tried on both 32 and 64 bit versions

im wondering if its possible in future versions to be able to record in an aspect ratio not native to the video being recorded ie a 4:3 clip in 16:9 widescreen?
