Is there a way to stream camera feed from Android VLC?

Desktop VLC can create a video stream from a camera. Is there a way to do it from Android version?

And if not, can you please add it in some future version? It's a neat feature.

Chromecast isn't working in VLC on Linux (PONG received from the Chromecast)

I'm trying VLC ( 3.0.8 ) with chromecast (on Debian testing Linux) connecting to BenQ GV1 projector. Nothing comes up on the projector, and I see these messages in the terminal: [00007fd72cc05d70] stream_out_chromecast stream out debug: PONG received from the Chromecast [00007fd72cc05d70] stream_out...

"The repository is insufficiently signed by key" error with libdvdcss Debian repo

On my recent update to Debian testing, I started getting this error: W: gpgv:/var/lib/apt/lists/download.videolan.org_pub_debian_testing_Release.gpg: The repository is insufficiently signed by key .... (weak digest) I configured the repo using these instructions: https://www.videolan.org/developers/...

Re: video freezes, sound keeps going

I have this problem with Android version of VLC (both regular and beta from the Google Play Store). Is there a filed bug for this? Here is a sample which demonstrates this bug: http://wikisend.com/download/361126/test.mp4

Re: How to change output codec for recording?

By design, the record button cannot change the codec. Changing the codec would be intricate, lossy and potentailly very slow. I see, thanks. I didn't realize that record produced an AVI with raw video. Then I can just take that and encode into something else without losing quality. But it still can...

Debian repo for libdvdcss is not available

Sorry for asking here, there is no special subforum for it. Is something wrong with libdvdcss Debian repo? According to this page https://www.videolan.org/developers/libdvdcss.html it's supposed to be http://download.videolan.org/pub/debian/stable/ I was using http://download.videolan.org/pub/debian...

Yes, in preferences.
Any idea where in preferences? Search by "bar" or "title" doesn't produce any results.

Re: How to change output codec for recording?

Sorry for raising the old topic, but it's kind of very related so I didn't want to start a new one. I can change codecs / containers through convert dialog when capturing the webcam, but how can a default profile be set, which can be used with "record" button without going through all thos...

Re: Progress bar shifted with Opus encoded with opusenc 0.1.

Opus is always 48000Hz.
Yeah, that's what I figured.
For the rest, I don't know.
Should I file a bug about it?

Re: Progress bar shifted with Opus encoded with opusenc 0.1.

probably because of big audio sample size. I encoded it from the FLAC source which had 16 bit depth and 44100 Hz sample rate. Opus came out to be 48000 Hz for some reason (but still 16 bit depth). I simply used opusenc without any special settings. But I had some other files which I encoded with ol...

Progress bar shifted with Opus encoded with opusenc 0.1.8

I recently encoded some audio using opusenc from opus-tools 0.1.8 (libopus 1.1). VLC 2.1.2 plays it properly, but the progress bar is shifted, starting somewhere 1/3 from the beginning. Is it because it still uses older libopusfile or something else?

How to customze the text in the title bar in VLC?

At present VLC displays metadata in the title bar using "Artist - Title" syntax. Is there any way to change / customize that? (I'm using it on Linux, Debian testing / KDE if that affects anything).

For some reason VLC doesn't show anything in the progress bar when playing MIDI. (If that matters I'm using Linux version with FluidSynth plugin). Is it a bug?

Converting video DVD to file fails.

I was trying to convert a video DVD to a video file (using Debian testing x86_64 with Debian Multimedia repo enabled). I opened Convert/Save, and chose H264+AAC codecs profile in MP4 container. In result the player is working (device was selected correctly), but the produced file contains nothing (i...

Can VLC play UNI (mikmod) files?

Does VLC support UNI audio files (playable with mikmod)? I have the soundtrack from the Uplink game, and it uses UNI format. Mikmod reports the audio as "MikCvt2 (was Screamtracker 3.xx)". I managed to play S3M files with VLC, since it has MOD demuxer plugin, but UNI files failed to play. ...
