Re: Configuring/disabling "Continue Playback"?

@kdean: Thank you very much! You solved my problem.

P.S. For those who still can't find the option, it's more precisely in All preferences > Interface > main interface > macosx > Continue playback where you left off.

Configuring/disabling "Continue Playback"? [SOLVED]

Hello, When I reopen previously opened media files, VLC shows a nasty "Continue Playback" dialog, asking me if I want to resume where I left. I say "nasty", because this dialog: Doesn't have keyboard focus; even if I give it keyboard focus with the mouse, doesn't support the Tab ...

Re: 2.1.4 Crashes when loading videos

I investigated a little further, and I found the source of the crashes. Judging by the VLC output in my Terminal, the crashes happen right after "main input debug: looking for a subtitle file in *folder*". So my suspicion turned to the subtitle file search. First of all, my videos don't ha...

Here's the complete output:

In a few places, I used asterisks to hide personal data (like *username*, *filename*), but otherwise, it's the complete output.

Small errors in French translation

There is an unneeded amperstand character (&) in the "Convertir / Diffuser" menu item. Also, in the menu item just above it, it should say "transcodage" instead of "trancodage":

Re: No main window

You can uncheck "use native fullscreen" in the VLC preferences. This will disable the "remember full screen" feature, which is awfully annoying.

2.1.4 Crashes when loading videos

Hello, I am getting crashes when loading videos in VLC 2.1.4 (Mavericks). I deleted the settings, deleted the VLC app, and redownloaded VLC. Didn't help. I checked the drive containing the videos with Disk Utility, but it didn't find errors. Then I enabled "Log to file" in VLC, but the cra...

Version 2.0.8 was announced today, and the main feature is: Following the numerous issues on the audio side of VLC 2.0, the audio core has been mostly rewritten, including a rewrite of most audio output modules, and of many audio filters. [Source] Although the download link is not available yet, I a...

Randomly No Audio On Launch

About 1 time out of 10, when I open a media file (movie or music) while VLC is closed, there will be no audio on launch. If I close the play window, and open the file again, there will be audio: so, this problem has nothing to do with the contents of the file, it's just a VLC initialization bug. It ...
