i tested the nightly build and full hardware acceleration is finally working. but subtitle is broken in full h/w mode but works perfectly when its disabled

subtitle acceleration ?

i watch a lot of animes and subtitle( karaoke) is the reason video lags a lot. mx player has this feature. please can you add subtitle hardware acceleration in the future ?

it shows black screen with audio. none formats work(mp4, mkv, avi) which work in other players. but 3gp works with screen tearings or none.

hardware decoding doesnt works ?

hardware acceleration doesnt works on my mediatek mt6589 chipset. it does support full 1080p hardware aceleration. hardware acceleration works in other players like mxplayer, bsplayer.

i have even tried the latest build and original builds.

hardware decoding is not working

sir only some videos work with full hardware decoding. while playing other videos it only plays audio and shows black screen. decoding acceleration plays only audio without any video ? sorry for my english i am not a native speaker

when i have frameskip on i get a grey screen and only audio plays and i use yuv. even if i use rgb 32 or rgb 16 it gives the same performance.

video that have styled subs lags while playing. i cant even watch the video. it has pixelated glitches and stuttering. the build i used two months ago plays it better. please improve the software decoder and subtitle rendering. i am sorry for taking your time. thank you .

however i said yuv and deblocking helped me speed up a lot......as edwardw said Android devices vary greatly from device to device....know that mxplayer took lots of update to improve sw decoding..vlc is still in beta :)

vlc sw decoding is better than mxplayer for me? try yuv colour format.... no deblocking and it should speed up.....if its no use we have to wait

Subtitles are usually text files. They do not need to be 'decoded'. i usually watch animes it has karaoke... i am not talking about .srt files... substation alpha(.ssa)... it lags in vlc during opening when there is karaoke..... and mxplayer doesnt lag because it uses hw for subtitle decoding.... c...

as far i know vlc renders subtitle using cpu(sw).....can it be done by hw(gpu) ? :? mx player has option to switch b/w hw and sw subtitle decoding.... will this feature be added :?:

Perhaps your device does not support hardware decoding, or does not expose it via a public API. even i have micromax canvas hd mkv dts 1080p plays smoothly in mx player with hardware mode. when i play video in h/w mode in vlc it shows me black screen but with sound...... no matter what file i play....
