Sorry but no, this feature doesn't exist at the moment, at least when using only VLC on a mobile device and a desktop.

You need to enable this settings :

Tools > Preferences > Show Settings > All

Then

Playlist > Play and Pause > Enable

Now launch your playlist, VLC should pause after each song played.

Have you disabled the Playback History setting ?

More > Settings > History > Playback History > disable

If so, please try enabling it again, that might be the culprit (and an issue we are working on)

During playback, modify the aspect ratio. Click also on Advance Option then Loop.

Go to Preferences > Advanced > Audio Output, and set AudioTrack (Java)

Try to disable Hardware Acceleration settings :

Preferences > Hardware Acceleration > Disabled

It should work, we have some issues with Hardware Acceleration and secondary display.

If your subtitles are not burned (see Subtitle) you just have to turn off the subtitles... (Video>Subtitle Track>Disable).

I'm not sure about what you mean by "small screen option"... But you have the button 11 to switch between "Playlist View" and "Player view" and maybe it's what you are looking for.
