Re: How can I revert to VLC 2.1.6 from the archived zip available?

Too bad, I wanted to revert to 2.1.6 because the snapshots were not damaged anamorphically… I will wait for a future 2.2.1 which will solve this issue :-)

Re: VLC 2.2.0 - Snapshots not stretched anamorphically

So far, the nightly builds don't correct this issue, alas…

Re: VLC 2.2.0 - Snapshots not stretched anamorphically

I didn't have this problem with version 2.1.x. I tried with DVDs from which I had obtained correct snapshots, and now there is a problem.

Re: VLC 2.2.0 - Snapshots not stretched anamorphically

I have the same problem on my MacBook, and only with DVDs. I tried with a .avi video and it worked as it used to be with the previous versions, but with all DVDs the snapshots are squared.

Re: VLC 2.1 crashed upon opening .mkv

I had the same issue (instant crash upon opening any video file) with VLC 2.1 and I reverted successfully to 2.0.8. Note that I have an "old" 10.6.8 system. Thanks in advance for your efforts to address this issue :-)

Problem with subtitles in a .divx file

Hello. I have a .divx file with subtitles, but those won't show and I obtain a message saying that VLC cannot interpret "DXSB" format. On the other hand, it works perfectly with DivX Player :s Can someone tell me if this problem will be solved in a future release? Thanks in advance. (Note:...

no overlapping in subtitles, please

Well, the title says all: in many cases, the subtitles overlap in the bottom of the screen, and are often poor, whereas in Windows Media Player they are as their creators made them: nice fonts, correct display...

Well, it worked indeed, but I have occasional crashes upon quitting, and it is true that the vlcrc has not returned after being destroyed, so I wonder where it came from originally. I tried the following: idestroyed the application VLC and re-copy it from the .dmg, but the vlcrc file does not reappe...

Oops, I am such a moron: I forgot to empty my trash. After doing so, 0.8.6b works properly (so far).

I have the same problems. I did what Mattcelt suggested (i.e. deleting vlcrc nd the contents of Cache) but I have the same crash upon quitting. Nevertheless, I can read files and I can view them in fullscreen mode. Here is the contents of Crash log: Host Name: Ordinateur-de-la-famille-Morien.local D...

Speaking of problems with the fullscreen controller (which is nice, I have to declare!), is there a simple way to make it disappear while viewing a program? It interferes with the subtitles, and moving it above is not a nice solution...
Thanks in advance, and... gambatte ne!

Thanks for your answer, the only problem is that I don't have 10.4 so I shall wait for the forthcoming stable release, as it is mentioned… :) Anyway, does the note in the "multimedia formats" mean that 0.8.6 will run WMV-9 media just by launching VLC or will it be necessary to download the...

0.8.6???

In the "multimedia formats", one finds: "WMV-3 / WMV-9 / VC-1 playback is through the FFmpeg-library since VLC 0.8.6.", but I can't find this 0.8.6 version. Is it still in the works, or in beta testing, and will it be for "older" Macs, that is non-Intel processors?

.tta + .cue files

Hello. Can someone tell me if I can read a .tta audio file with videolan with Mac Os 10.3, and if not, which sofware can be used instead so that I can burn the resulting CD? Thanks in advance :)
