I'm using a just-updated VLC (3.0.11.1) on MacOs. I'm amazed that VLC does not have a Preference privacy option to 'forget' play history on closing -- this sort of privacy is a must for many people. I have the same problem with the blocking. I've played around with all settings, to no avail.
VLC 2.0.6
MacOS 10.6.8

DVD movies run fine in DVD Player.
