I am sorrry I am such a newb, but I looked all over the files, and cant find out where this log is kept.

Set to default right now. At the second it is working. but that will change I am sure. What more information do you need, and how can I get it? Thanks

Hello.
Hate to ask for help, but I cant find the answer. I am running ubuntu 12.04. I have to un install and re install vlc every time or else i get no picture the next time I try to use it. I usually use x11 or default output. HELP
