Firefox plugin hang/crash

Hi, I have a web page and video that consistently make the VLC Mozilla plugin both hang and/or crash after running for a few minutes/hours. Is there any useful debugging information I should post here other than a sample page that exhibits the problem? Thanks.

Re: [Solved]How to disable holiday icon?

Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify-- "should be deactivable" as in "it is", or as in "it's a feature we should include in the future"?

Re: [Solved]How to disable holiday icon?

I'm just wondering if sercia's question above has an answer. I too want to completely disable the cone icon in the Firefox plugin. Changing the setting in VLC player seems to only work there, not in the plugin. I've done some Javascript magic to try to hide VLC until the video gets going, but this i...

Re: Using alpha blended transitions in windowless mode

Here you go. You will need to replace the "target" parameter of vlc with a URL to a video file. Once you get it loaded, notice that when you move your mouse over the blue area, it fades down and up smoothly. VLC, in contrast, pops in and out of being visible. One thing that was incorrect i...

Using alpha blended transitions in windowless mode

Question-- I'm experimenting with the Mozilla plugin in windowless mode on Windows 7. I'm showing a series of videos one after another by deleting and creating <embed> objects for VLC in Javascript and attaching/removing them from the DOM as I go. For the most part, it's working well. The only thing...

Re: Web Plugin unavailable in 2.0.6 stable?

Sorry, not sure I follow. Are you saying go with 2.0.5? Or that there's some "mis-compilation" issue that's being looked into?

Re: Web Plugin unavailable in 2.0.6 stable?

For what it's worth, I'm experiencing the same thing. Windows 7 64 bit, Firefox hangs whenever the plugin is activated. More specifically, it hangs for about 45 seconds and then I see a black page. I was also experiencing the problem of run-away memory consumption upon launch of the VLC player, but ...
