Hello, thanks again. However, what output option should I change it to? Also, I started VLC with no video selected, just to see what happens. I opened up the player, and even without a video loaded it started at 50% CPU, and within 1 min had climbed to such an unbelievably high memory usage that it ...

I guess I should add, it's the latest version, VLC 2.0.5

and it worked perfectly on the same system, same hardware, same software, as just a few days ago before I re-installed Windows XP. Nothing has changed, aside from this weird memory and CPU anomaly.
