Hi, I'm using nightlies; can't get it from the PlayStore. I'm didn't know about the audio output selection in the 'advanced debugging' section. It was set to OpenSL. Here's a link to a podcast that typically has poor playback:

I had the same problem with current version 2.0.5 (W7 32-bit), particularly when I double-clicked a video file to launch. The problem was on two different machines. I reinstalled on both computers and it works fine now. Weird is right.
