My method for what?

The only thing I've done is listening to the pitch changed audio in both programs and simply notice the quality difference, I have not compared the audio wave or signal visually at all.

I second this request, pitch shifting would be so useful, especially for Guitar lesson videos... We want it so hard. I've just discovered that you can play YouTube videos with VLC. Imagine that you can simply play any backing track or video of YouTube through VLC and adjust the pitch to the one you have in your instrument. Damn, that'd rock so hard.
