I have talked to the manufacturer, and because of Swedish laws they have to make the TV so that the recorded shows cannot be played on a computer.
I guess that makes this topic solved, however i do not know how to change the title....

Tried it, it only post up filename and size. Trying other files it shows a ton of information but on these files, just name... That makes me think this has nothing to do with vlc, rather the files themselves. I think Ill give the maker a call and hear what they say about it. Thanks a lot guys! :D Ha...

So maybe the tv does do something weird to the files to keep the recordings from being watched anywhere else? The manual specifically says that it could be played by a PC but you might need some other program than your default in case your default one doesn't play it... Is there a way to find out wh...

Problem playing compressed .ts file

Hello! First time poster, not completely sure this is the right place to post so correct me if I'm wrong! I have done a few hours of searching and tried different programs etc with no success. The story: I have a TV with built in recorder that records shows to my usb drive. They show up in .ts files...
