Re: Double clicking on Library entry takes me to the wrong place

FIXED!

Although my VLC interface doesn't show the Shuffle and Repeat buttons, somehow the Shuffle feature had been engaged, which I discovered when I set the interface to show the Shuffle and Repeat buttons. Unselecting the Shuffle feature put me back where I wanted to be.

Double clicking on Library entry takes me to the wrong place

I have my music organized by folder and subfolder. To get the music into VLC, I dragged the topmost folder into VLC. For several years, if I double clicked on a higher level folder in the VLC library, it would open to the subfolder, and if the subfolder contained only music files, it would start to ...

Confirm deletes?

I'm running VLC 3.0.4 for MacOS... Is there a setting somewhere (that I can't find...) that forces VLC to ask for confirmation before deleting a song from VLC? I find myself occasionally hitting delete in the wrong spot, and the song disappears from VLC (although the file itself, of course, is not d...

Re: Issue with .m3u and VLC 2.0.6 and 2.0.7

As a followup, I've noticed that the pattern seems to be this: When VLC starts playing songs from within a .m3u file (whether it's the first one or not), within the first 10 minutes or so VLC will stop and skip to the next song. It will then play perfectly from then on, until I hit the "stop&qu...

Issue with .m3u and VLC 2.0.6 and 2.0.7

Both 2.0.6 and 2.0.7 will play .m3u playlists just fine, but at least 2/3 of the time a song won't play all the way through and VLC will skip to the next item in the .m3u playlist. This can happen anywhere in the playing of one of the items.

Have others experienced this and is there a workaround?

m3u playlist times end prematurely

I'm running 2.0.6 in Max OS 10.8.4 (this also happened in 10.8.3, though), and when I play an .m3u playlist, often (but inconsistently and not always) VLC will stop playing one of the items and move on to the next song in the list. The same m3u playlist played in iTunes doesn't show this behavior (t...

Re: Audio M4A sounds bad since update to 2.0.4

@i-like-vlc: Thanks very much for the tip! Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. I quit VLC, checked the "open in 32 bit mode" box and restarted it, and it still stutters terribly. I'm glad it worked for you, but alas it didn't for me. I guess I'll need to stick with 1.1.12 until (hopefull...

Re: Audio M4A sounds bad since update to 2.0.4

I'm having the same problem with VLC 2.0.5 as well as the nightly build of 2.0.6 vlc-2.0.6-x86_64-20121226-0314. .m4a files (ripped from my own CD collection) sound "stuttery" constantly....their unlistenable. I've tried the suggestions here (set the volume to something below 100%, trash t...
