VLC also will not let you overwrite an existing custom preset so I thinking now that it is a weakness of the program itself and my question was moot. Hopefully this will be resolved in the future because otherwise I like the program.

That makes no since because when you change equalizer settings VLC asks you to enter a name for that preset. To have a preset name called New in the list does nothing. When you do change the settings and the dialog comes up to save it, it enters the word New as a default, just like Windows defaults ...

Is there a way to delete a custom preset in VLC 3.0.0 for Android? Somehow I seem to have saved a preset named "New" which is the same as Flat and I want to get rid of it.

I have just reinstalled the latest version (2.0.4) of VLC and nothing I do, including adding ile:///./ to each file name, will work. The player locks up every time so I can't even get a log report. I'm sure the Videolan staff have gotten numerous bug reports about their player being the only one out...
