Hi. I have vlc running with the http control interface. I have two playlists (.m3u) and I'd like to be able to select one of them from the web interface. Is this possible?

I have vlc 2.0.3 installed on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. When I start vlc (with -I http) from a terminal window via ssh, I don't hear anything until I log in at the GUI. If I log out in the GUI the sound stops, and then when I log back in it starts again. Is audio somehow muted when I'm not logged in ? How c...
