You might have missed the part where I said I wasn't tech savvy. lol. Can you tell me how to do that?

I'm trying to create screen caps from MKV videos that are in the following format: 720p.WEB.DL.DD5.1.H.264. I'm having problems with either stuttering during play, or pixelation in the captures. I've tried to tweak a few settings based on some advise I've seen on the web (I'm not very tech-savvy :oo...

I find that when making screen captures from 1080P video, I get a lot of pixelation in my images. I'm not very tech savvy, and know nothing about codecs, but I'm wondering if there's a setting that I can adjust in VLC to avoid this problem?
