I have managed to enable 0.8.6 to play wmv3,
using the latest ffmpeg

I have tried it again using the svn to get the latest ffmpeg.
and configure with --enable-pp --enable-gpl
but the result is same.
I don't know why.

I knew that vlc have hacked the nsc file successfully but without using this info. what i want to konw is some nsc file has many formats in it like :Format1=blala,Format2=blala........ when the media server stream out a stream ,i don't konw which format in the nsc file to use to receive the string ....

i have got that the nsc 's file is just a garbage under text editer.
but what i mean was the asf header info is just two words " asf header "rather than the meaningful bytes.maybe i need to check your answer to other threads.it needs time for i am not famalier with this forum.
