it seems like messing around with the Goom display output settings makes some difference. My TV is at 1366x768, but if set goom to match that output I just get a garbled screen, same at 683x384.

Deactivating overlay does not seem to affect this behavior.

How do I set \\DISPLAY2 as the default with OpenGL?

Edited to add: I have also tried wallpaper mode, same behavior.
Deactivate overlay or use OpenGL.

Did that. output module = directx, default display = \\DISPLAY2

Like I said, the dual-display & control functionality is working like I want it, it's just the scaling that gets wacky.
Try changing output module in prefs.

Yup, that's how I got the controls to stay on the laptop screen while the visualization plays on the TV.
Did you try to de-embed the video from the interface?
