Disabling Hotkeys

We are using VLC for critical live stream video surveillance and had a user hit the pause button accidentally resulting in buffering to a tmp directory. Is there a way to disable pause permanently? I know hotkeys can be 'unset', but users could theoretically set them up again. Is there a way to disa...

Re: input sdp information from file with VLCJ

or pass the SDP as is preceded by "sdp://" (i.e. "sdp://v=0\r\no="...). Per above direction I was hoping you could pass vlc the sdp as a parameter. I have tried many variations of below to no effect. vlc "sdp://v=0\r\nC=IN IP4 239.192.8.8\r\nm=video 15099 RTP/AVP 96\r\na=rt...

Re: Is GPU Acceleration 'On' by default on Plugin?

You could do that, or just remove the other .dll/.so for the other plugins That would be too easy :) I actually tried removing the .so's not being used. Everything works fine running standalone VLC --- when I open Preferences -> video -> Output only has two options (default and OpenGL GLX video out...

Re: Is GPU Acceleration 'On' by default on Plugin?

Would the only way to "force" the vout setting set to "OpenGL GLX video output (XCB)" when using the Web plugin be to recompile VLC and disable all other video output options in the configure.sh file... or is there an easier solution. Again the web embedded player will only be vi...

Re: Is GPU Acceleration 'On' by default on Plugin?

What about Video Output? I can get video running correctly with Video Overlay on, if I can set video output to "OpenGL GLS video output (XCB)". I have around 170 computers that I can manage the VLC configuration of, but need to view VLC through the plugin. If I set the video Output to Open...

Re: UDP: Differences between WebPlugin and native interface

I'm using RHEL 6.2, and have had trouble getting the NPAPI plugin working with earlier versions of Firefox. I have it working with Firefox 10.0.12. You might also try Chromium if that is an option. I have the plugin working on Chrome 24.0.1312.52. They both are streaming multicast udp.

RHEL 6.2, 64 bit

Does any one have a recommendation on the best version / repository of VLC and the Firefox Plugin for RHEL 6.2 / 64 bit. A good working Firefox VLC plug-in is key.
Thanks,
Chuck
