I confirmed that the fps problem is still there with the last version.

Re: fps goes down after several hours, h264 via RTSP

Thank you. I was reticent to use newer versions because the experience that I have is that when CPU charge is high the quality of the video is highly degraded. Could you have any ideas for that ?

fps goes down after several hours, h264 via RTSP

I am using libvlc to get h.264 compressed video via RTSP.
Once my application runs for some hours, the fps ratio goes down, from 25 fps to something around 3 fps.
My resolution is 1024x768
I am using version 2.0.1

TIA,

Andres

option --ffmpeg-hw no longer exists

option --ffmpeg-hw no longer exists

This is what is logged on my 2.1.5 version

What would be the new name ? Or there is no HW acceleration anymore for that ?

I couldn't find an equivalence table for old options and new options. Is there something like that anywhere ?

Re: libvlc_media_new_path() possible bug in version 2.1.3

Thank you very much for your reply. After posting my previous I've found that in the documentation. So, previous version was accepting rtsp streams and files. Now it seems to be neccesary to distinguish that before calling lib_vlc_media_new_path() or libvlc_media_new_location(), depending on the cas...

libvlc_media_new_path() possible bug in version 2.1.3

I've been using this: libvlc_media_new_path(libvlc, url); with url assigned to "rtsp:\\169.254.102.233\h264" without problems with versions up to 2.0.1 Now with version 2.1.3 it assumes that the url is a file. Because It logs the following: libdvdnav: Using dvdnav version 5.0.0 libdvdread:...

Re: saving video doesn't deinterlace with deinterlacing acti

Thank you for your answer. As the video runs too fast for the human eye and I need this for input for a computer vision program, I need to check how the deinterlaced images look like. But I can't do that the way I mentioned. Neither by making a snapshot of the live video. Could you suggest a differe...

saving video doesn't deinterlace with deinterlacing active

Hi, I'm feeding my VLC with a PAL camera through Directshow. I selected Video->Deinterlace Mode->Bob and Video->Deinterlace->On Then I'm saving the video with the "record" button. But the stored video doesn't show any deinterlacing. Please see my snapshot: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0...
