The bottom line is that a computer monitor is a far more capable display device than your humble TV (unless you have a VERY expensive TV that is essentially a computer monitor with a tuner anyway.)

But how do you explain the thing about the smooth video on TV and not on monitor?

Would be nice to see a taskbar control of VLC (with volume, stop/start and next/previous track) just like with MS Windows Media Player. Fully accessable through the taskbar, without having to place the mouse pointer on the icon...

Hi. Is it possible to add an audio track to a movie, just like you do for the subtitles tracks? eg.: if I have the german mp3 track of a movie, to add it to the list of the audio tracks as "Track 2" and switch between the audio tracks.

I would like to have an option to download the general media information (Song name, Album, Artist, ecc.) from gracenote.com or similar... It would be fantastic, because I often have no-name-songs in my music folders... :) I know that it would need audio fingerprinting, but maybe in a near future it...

How can I set VLC to automatically search for Metadata (Artist, Title, Album, ecc.) without having to write the Metadata by myself???? Is there an option for downloading the media informations from Gracenote or from a similar page?
