I'm currently using 2.0.7... hmm, it was the version the website gave me when I installed today.

Check it again what version you are using. Today download link for a time was 2.0.8 and then it was return to 2.0.7.

Why they released new version 2.0.8 if there is bug reported 26 hours old?

I found the exact problem. It was WMA format. If I play WMV without audio stream, it running. But if it have WMA it crash. Wait until they release new (32 bit) version.
Because VLC crash immediately when playing WMV and WMA files.
In otherwise, do not use x64 version because it does not work with part of codecs and plugins
that they are made for x86 applications and you are using x64 application.

There is bug in forum. I cant change my password. Its always say:
The password does not contain the required characters.
Even I am using current password for new password it can't accept it!

No! It can't. I change it from default to DirectX (DirectDraw), apply (save), restart the player, and still have the same artifacts. Also i disabled the "YUV -> RGB".
