Update about the problem, I solved it.

I had vlc.exe set to run as administrator. Went into the properties and unticked the box, I can now drag and drop into the places I could before.

Perhaps an admin could pop a *solved* on the end of my thread topic

Thanks fer lettin me know about portable version, I'll try that, hopefully it works.

I knew about not working properly on double click

Double click is ok for me, its the drag and drop I have the problem with, thanks tho.

Bumperty bump, please help meh, this has been driving me crazy for quite a while, you dont realise how nice it is to just drag and drop till its gone

Hi peoples Ever since VLC 2.0 I have lost all drag and drop functionality. I cannot drag a standard file of any type (mp3, wav, avi etc) onto either the playlist or the blank black video screen. I just installed 2.0.2 and told it to reset the settings but still no luck :( My os is Win7 x64 Anyone go...
