i should also add that Vlc player doesn't open unless you right click open as a video file.

Ok so im not sure what happened but Vlc player now opens with no controls or options ( if its audio the file plays but with no player open anywhere ) and is titled VLC Direct3D Output error. i have no controls or options so i cant get into the settings to change anything ? i have the same problem. Even if i re install an earlier copy of Vlc it still opens as VLC (Direct3d Output) ,with no controls or options so i cant get into setting to change anything . Totally stuck with this ???
