Delete %appdata%/vlc folder

In a terminal I tried:

# locate %appdata%

and nothing was found.
There are many library files in usr/share/ but I have been unable to locate this data which needs to be deleted.

Hello Jean Baptiste and Doctor_Fail I am using Linux and I have no minimise, restore and close down options at the right of the top panel.
