Have you tried another audio output in preferences?

Not sure if it's the right fix. It seems like the C library doesn't like symlinks even when accessed through the userland mountpoint.

A to B loop is sadly not currently implemented

OK. I guess /mnt/media_rw/sdcard1/ is protected.

You can try adding /mnt/media_rw/sdcard1/ as a custom path in preferences and access it via directory view, but I don't know if it will work for sure.

What device and version of VLC?

It should be able to play them, but is the git-annex backend connected? Otherwise it results in a broken symlink.

The one on the left is for 'shuffle' and the other one controls looping.

Well, the codec is the same, so the hardware decoder should be able to do both...

So far we don't have stream output support (this includes transcoding/saving media files), unfortunately.

Yes, that should be checked if you have a good processor and want time-stretching audio.

Is this still an issue?

The compile.sh script has options for managing all of this. Don't use Android Studio to build. The script itself uses gradle under the hood.

You can use Gradle with Eclipse.

The latest versions of VLC for Android should be auto-rotating videos.

Have you tried a clean build?

It should be able to show most of the same meta as the desktop version.
