You don't need the SDK. Follow the new instructions for using Term.apk: http://wiki.videolan.org/Android_Report_bugs#Logcat_logadb can give logs.
ya but I just replaced my hard drive and don't have the SDK installed. I'll do that and pull the log.
You need to re-install with the latest APK.Let me clear the logcat then reproduce. Going to take a few minutes.
http://wiki.videolan.org/Android_Report_bugs#Logcat_log has instructions. Can you share the logs?Quick notice on the Razr. When hardware acceleration is on I cannot see video with AVI files although I do get sound.
Try the Terminal/Term.apk method on that page then. That's my problem. There isn't log file in /sdcard
See http://wiki.videolan.org/Android_Report_bugs to find out how to get them. Are there any logs somewhere?
I cannot find them...
Either it's not there or I sleep with open eyes. Checked both normal and Cyanogen options.
Probably you have the wrong build for your device. It installs but doesn't run.
(Toshiba Thrive AT100)
No, you don't have to do any of that stuff. Check under PreferencesSorry, how do I do that? Do I finally have to compile? Or starting from command-line with a parameter?
Galaxy Y has a Broadcom BCM21553, which is ARMv6 with VFP, so http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/android-v6-fpu/I want to test VLC for Android into my Device Galaxy Young. I downloaded an apk but does't run. Can somebody HelpMe
Did you try without hardware acceleration? Thanks again!

That's everything that happened _after_ initial logcat output, when I started VLC again and it crashed again.
Is that enough, or do you need the whole log including the indexation process?
http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/and ... -debug.apkWhen I go to install this on my Galaxy Nexus from the web store I get the message that says "This app is not available in your country" is this app not going to be coming to the United States of America?

http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/android-v7-neon/I tried to install the new Beta version using Google Play. First error said not compatible in your country. Rebooted computer and phone then got message saying incompatible with my device...at ATT Samsung Galaxy III S. Bummer.
What kind of device do you have?Hi,
i would suggest to have a direct link to the apk-files on the VLC for Android-website for allt those people who don't want to use Google play store (e.g because of privacy issues)
Change the root in Preferences.accesses media stored on /mnt/emmc, the Internal Storage. Being able to access other mount points, like sdcard and usbdisk would be very useful
Create a symbolic link or something.I use Ubuntu One a file sharing cloud service. All purchased music is saved (can't change it) under /sdcard/u1/.ubuntuone
