Thanks a lot. You made my day! :) Your solution worked like charm. (Though I figured the "file" in "...access=file" is not the extension but a reserved word.) For future reference, here is what I did in order to remove the audio from an ".mpg" file: vlc -I dummy MOV0316...

remove audio from a video file?

Hi.
I would really appreciate if someone can tell me how to remove the audio of a video and save the video without audio from command line.
