Re: Wrong track order, please help!

I just noticed if you right click the album folder and choose ‘play with VLC media player’ songs play in the correct order, strange when using 'Play All' in Windows Explorer the tracks are played randomly. This is assuming (or should that be presuming) you have separate folder for each album which I...

I think 200% is the max you could increase your system sound, VLC will still show 200% but the sound will be louder.

Re: Unable to play Youtube URL links (VLC 2.0.1 Twoflower

This is so strange worked one time and then stopped again, did you check your changes were saved? I had a look at my preferences and can’t see any changes. To play more than one video just put them all in one folder and choose Media->Open folder. To be honest until last week I only ever used VLC to ...

Re: Unable to play Youtube URL links (VLC 2.0.1 Twoflower

It might be worth phoning your ISP so you can confirm if it’s them or not, if it’s not them maybe it’s a Vista issue. I found this not sure if it will help http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows- ... der-vista/

Re: Unable to play Youtube URL links (VLC 2.0.1 Twoflower

Yes go to menu option Media->convert/save and in the Network tab where it says “please add network URL" enter the URL and click the convert/save button at the bottom, use the browse button to go to where you want it saved, remember to give the video a name in the file name box and add .webm on ...

Re: Unable to play Youtube URL links (VLC 2.0.1 Twoflower

My internet connection is wireless too and is 60MB broadband so not sure if it’s a bandwidth issue, I think 11Mbps is more than adequate. I would think if it plays from YouTube without any problems VLC will be okay with it too, but I’m no expert. Did you try downloading it with VLC? I have Avast ant...

If you up the video bitrate to 3000 and the video framerate to 30, audio bitrate 224 and sample rate 44100 and see if its any better.

Re: Loss of sound when recording from WEBM file

I am using the Free WebM Video Player to convert WEBM to AVI, it can do a load of other things too. It has loads of output options so maybe worth a try; to be honest a lot of the output options are well beyond my knowledge. If you do download it make sure you click the custom install and un-tick the...

Re: Loss of sound when recording from WEBM file

Bill, Been playing with this for a while today and the strange thing is, if you convert the .webm file to a .avi file and play it in VLC it will record with sound just fine but I can’t get VLC to convert so I needed to use different software to do it, I know its a pain  but at least it works. ...

Re: ( SOLVED ) No sound after recording YouTube video.

Okay good it worked, I found its best to close down VLC before starting a new download, VLC seems to get confused otherwise. Sorry I can’t help with the recording parts of videos, I have used VLC in the past to play music and videos I already have but not much else. It may be a good idea to ask the ...

Re: ( SOLVED ) No sound after recording YouTube video.

Hi BillBald, What I did rather than trying to record the YouTube video I used the Media->Convert/Save option. Go to the Media menu choose Convert/Save, when the “open media” window opens choose the network tab and paste in the YouTube URL and click the “Convert/Save” button. where it says in the new...

Re: No sound after recording YouTube video.

Hi, Thanks very much for the quick response. The suggestion to use the webm container worked just fine, thanks. :D This also works when using the Media->Convert/Save option. Just need to remember to tick webm via the “edit selected profile” button when the convert window opens. Thanks very much for ...

( SOLVED ) No sound after recording YouTube video.

Hi, Sorry if this question has been asked but I did look but could not find anything. I have opened the Hobbit trailer from YouTube via menu option Media->Open Network Stream and in the Network tab where it says “please add network URL" I entered http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPkL7V1kExg and t...
